home will be where the heart is

Once upon a time, I could not wait to get out of PG, move out on my own, get on with my life. I couldn't stand the thought of living at home any more. This could be due to the fact that I was working super crappy hours (6am-2:30pm) so I was missing out on things with friends, and actually I didn't really even have any friends, I had just left behind high school which, let's be honest, NEEDED to be left behind, and I was just ready to start the next phase of my life.

And during that first semester away, I loved it. I loved living on my own. I still do, but something changed when I lived at home this winter. I had a new appreciation for family, for not paying for anything (thanks mom and dad), for things that are important. So moving back out was hard for me.

But now I'm back for a 3 day weekend. :) And I am glad to be here. I'm glad to be sleeping in my bed and seeing my family and having to walk upstairs to go to the bathroom. I'm glad to be able to eat whatever I want and not be concerned that our fridge is EMPTY. And being able to do my laundry. Best feeling ever. Yes I trucked my HUGE bag of dirty laundry on the shuttle down to Utah. I have this hatred for coin operated machines.

My point to this rambling post is, I love my home. I love my family. I love being able to come visit. Thank you SO MUCH mom and dad for shuttling me down. I have the greatest parents ever, and the greatest family.

Love love!
