On Friday evening I had to sing in the commencement services for the BYU-I spring semester graduation. I was not happy that I had to go, and if my choir grade wouldn't have been affected by ditching out I definitely would have.
There were about 1500 graduated at this commencement and the I-center was practically filled. I was sitting on the stand in the choir seats and I have to admit, looking out at the graduates, I was awed and a little envious. With a jolt I realized that I could be sitting in their places in just one short semester as I finish my Associates Degree.
I'm finishing my Associates this fall, did you know that? I'm taking a break from music majorness, possibly forever. I may or may not be transferring down to Utah County in January, I may or may not get back into the music scene.
Everything in my life is way up in the air right now. I've never had less direction than I do now. I've also never had so much peace in my heart and assurance that God has a plan for me. I'm just along for the ride.
We'll see where I am in 4 months.
