The chapter has closed but the book will always remain open

Today I took my very last test in Music Theory!!
My relationship with Music Theory has been intense and passionate. I took AP music my senior year of high school and it instilled a deep love for analyzing music, dictating, listening, studying and learning about it. Everything about music is so in depth and intricate. It's so mathematical and formulaic and it's also so exquisitely artistic and emotional. It's amazing.
After I took the AP music test (and aced it!), I came up to college and had the opportunity to test out of my first two semesters of college theory. That was the best thing I ever could have done. Over the past three semesters of studying under different teachers, and after having the opportunity to teach it as a mentor for the most basic theory class, the love that I have for music and especially theory has grown an enormous amount!
I will always be a total music nerd, regardless of what I end up studying. And I've realized that it's very important to me that the person that I end with is able to understand my jargon and theories about music.
For now I will continue to analyze everything I listen to, and you will probably always find me with Debussy or Wagner playing on my Spotify. You can be jealous if you want to. :)
